Deliver Us Mars - Ark Tech

Designing the Ark Tech for Deliver Us Mars was one of the most challenging designs I did. Besides being responsible for coming up with their designs, I was also responsible for bringing these meshes into the game. This was quite a challenge, but using a kitbash workflow made with pieces from Mars, Moon and custom geo I was able to put them together. Surfacing is mostly re-using existing materials, apart from the Habitas Engine core which I made with support from our technical artist Daniel Torkar. Animation is also done by me. Labos Transformer model. This is my favorite of the bunch. In-game it's used as a converter of solar power to MPT.

Labos Transformer turnaround. Used a lot of modifiers and mirrors to reduce time spent.

Habitas Engine in-game. The core shader was created with the awesome Daniel Torkar.

Habitas Engine model. This was the first one I designed which went through many iterations. The challenge was to design something that looked distinctly futuristic, almost alien, while still fitting in the hard scifi aesthetic.
